Shoedasters – waiting to happen

January 29, 2009

Shoedasters in the Snow. Blistering winds, heavy rain and excessive amounts of discomfort.

Being very well in the thick of winter, you’d think comfort and functionality would be at the top of everyone’s list when it comes to winter footwear.

Apparently not.

Someone said this winter….no names. “I just wanna get the cutest boots that go with my camo pants; they all fit the same anyway, they’re boots!”

In my opinion – a disaster waiting to happen. When you’re picking snowboard boots based on their “cuteness” in relation to your snowboard pants, you will likely find that their amazing cuteness becomes absolutely meaningless when you’re sliding down a snowy slope with feet that feel like they’re in clogs (also become increasingly more painful the more toeside turns you make).

When it comes to snowboard boots, please choose based mostly on comfort and how they feel (weight important) – then the color…they’ll probably be covered by snow 75% of the time anyway, right?

As far as some boots that seem to have their stuff down (just my own personal opinion, friends’ testimonials and sparse research)…

Women’s
-Burton Emeralds
-as always, the K2 Boa (Haven Boa or other)

Men’s
-Forum Constant boots deliver on comfort and tech!
-DC Judge Boa…it’s DC Shoe Co after all

PS – if you have other boots that have worked well for you this winter, snowboard or inclement weather, or don’t like my choices – let us know.

"To Leopard or Not to Leopard"

Leopard here…. Lepopard there…. everywhere a Leopard…. What to Do? Is leopard really in and how much of it should you wear? Is it a flashback of the pimps in the 70′s or is it cutting edge? Are you considered classy if you are wearing all leopard? Help me out here…

My Favorite Shoe

November 18, 2008

Wendy's Favorite Shoe

I love a classic look with updated style. Pink and black, two-toned, 50′s Glam, with the hot, double platform, classic stiletto style. Does it get any better? These shoes were bought and branded under two companies in different colors for each, of course! Paris Hilton and Te’casan are the brands who are having the success of marketing this perfect shoe. I will personally be purchasing it in pink form the Paris Hilton line. I am going with the pink theme for Christmas instead of the typical red. So any comments on the pink for the Holidays?
